Swedish Massage Back, Neck & Shoulders £35
Swedish Massage Full Body £60

Swedish massage uses softer strokes on the bonier and more delicate parts of the body, and stronger strokes where there is thicker muscle coverage. This sensitivity to pressure makes it ideal for relaxation. The term "Swedish Massage" refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. The main purpose of Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles.

Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It increases circulation without increasing heart load. It stretches the ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable. Swedish Massage also stimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes the nerves themselves at the same time. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress management. It also has many specific medical uses. Swedish massage feels good, is relaxing and invigorating. It affects the nerves, muscles, glands, and circulation, while promoting health and well being.

Deep Tissue massages loosen fibres of the muscle whilst releasing deeply-held patterns of tension. They help toremove toxins whilst relaxing and soothing the muscle. It is both corrective and therapeutic. By using slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction across the grain of the muscle, a deeper level of stimulation is achieved when needed. It also helps to break up and eliminateknotted tissues. As it focuses on more specific areas it may cause some soreness during or right after the massage, which will feel better within a day or two. Deep Tissue massages feel good and are beneficial to your health. When muscles are stressed they block oxygen and nutrients, leading to inflammation that builds up astoxins in the muscle tissue. The massage loosens the muscle, releases toxins and gets blood and oxygen circulating more efficiently. It is important to drink plenty of water after a deep tissue massage to help drain these toxins from your body.

Deep Tissue Massage Back, Neck & Shoulders 30 mins £40
Deep Tissue Massage Full Body 1 hour £65

A massage technique that works on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. Similar to Swedish massage, deep tissue massage uses slower and firmer strokes and pressure than other treatments - deep finger pressure that concentrates on particular areas, and follows or goes across the fibres of muscles and tendons. Deep tissue massage is a particularly effective massage for people with muscular pain. Deep tissue massage helps to refresh and relax muscles, increasing the blood flow and therefore the oxygen flow around your body. This gets rid of toxins in very sore and strained muscles, which helps them to strengthen and heal.

Hot Stone Massage Back, Neck & Shoulders £40
Hot Stone Massage Full Body 1 hour £65

Hot stone massage is a specialty massage where the therapist uses smooth, heated stones, either as an extension of their own hands, or by placing them on the body while they massage other parts of the body. The heat can be both deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work more deeply, more quickly.

It is generally accepted that alternating treatments of warmth and cold are beneficial, and help to soothe an aching body. What we often need to do is combine both hot and cold. There's a method behind the apparent madness of leaping from a toasty sauna into an icy pool: hot stone therapy uses the same principle. Heat expands the blood vessels, cold constricts them.

The combination of relaxing warmth and refreshing coolness is thought to encourage the body to detox and heal, increasing lymph flow and helping to flush out waste. With the addition of heat, your body becomes relaxed in a much shorter space of time, and your therapist can focus on a deep working of the tissues using both the stones and her hand strokes.

Hot stone massage can:

- boost your circulation
- release stored tension
- recharge your energy levels
- relax you

Hot stone massage is said to have health benefits for people with:

- muscular pain
- poor circulation
- rheumatic and arthritic conditions
- fibromyalgia
- back pain
- stress
- insomnia
- depression
